THE END OF KANSAS CITY PIMPING!!!
Call it an end of an era in Kansas City. An ordinance citing "promoting prostitution" as a crime is now good law. For the most part, the reaction from locals has been disappointment that they missed the opportunity to engage in legal pimping for all of these years. The reality of the new law on local books is that it won't do much to thwart the misdeeds of the world's oldest profession.

And given that this law doesn't accomplish much, will have little impact on local streets and seems to be nothing more than a publicity stunt via local legislation - Of course City Council Dude Scott Wagner is out front and taking credit for his valiant effort to rescue local ladies from their pimps.
At the end of the week, I guess we can pretend that Council Dude Scott Wagner is saving women in jeopardy like Kansas City version of Charles Bronson but armed only with an impressive ability to do paperwork.
Or maybe . . . Considering that Council Dude Wagner's only other accomplishments are cracking down on single mothers, grandmas and families that participate in home schooling . . . What's apparent is Mr. Wagner's total ignorance or disdain for Kansas City's working poor and efforts to promote increased sanctions as part of a mistaken worldview which seems to believe that government helps solve social ills.
Then again . . .
There are all kinds of exploitation at work in politics as of late and the so-called end of Kansas City pimping via this ordinance is just one example.

Kansas City "working poor" my ass. You mean Kansas City "sit on your ass, get a check and eat for free." When you live in Northeast, like I do, then you can offer an opinion. Mr. Wagner lives in Northeast and is doing his best to curb an epidemic of lack of personal and parental responsibility.
There's more pimping in politics than on the streets. Unfortunatley its leagal and mostly worshipped in KCMO.
Wagner moved out of Northeast along time ago. And this silly law is nothing more than smoke and mirrors.The council can only do misdemeanors violations any thing else comes from the State.He used Northeast to run for office and then moved north.
How stupid does this idiot thing we are primping has been a crime along time we don't need this ,we need enforcement of what's already on the books .Of course how would he know safe in his Northtowne estate.
Too late to be applied to the gang who pimped the KCPD East Patrol project, but maybe there's always hope!
Some of these folks will do ANYTHING but address the real issues in the city.
