Almost every tax increase and the lottery has been aimed at the poor. Tax cigs so bureaucrats in government who probably make twice the annual income of most smokers can have a raise.
I'm not a smoker, but I'm voting no on this one (as I have in the past). It's not fair to single out one class of people for a tax simply because we don't approve of their actions.
Besdies that, the woman on the ad supporting Prop. B has one of the most annoying voices on TV. What were they thinking?
I'm voting NO. I do not smoke. This is just a sham for more tax money using kids and education. Education does not need more money but more accountaility.
