WEDNESDAY, OCT. 31ST . . . "The secretary of state's office says voters have until Wednesday to request an absentee ballot by submitting an application to their local election authority. Voters have until Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. to vote in person by absentee ballot. Election Day is Nov. 6."
