SHOCK!!! A MERE 730 VOTERS WILL DECIDE THE FATE OF KANSAS CITY'S $100 MILLION DOWNTOWN TOY TRAIN STREETCAR!!!

Witness the death of Democracy in Kansas City:
KC Biz Journal: Kansas City streetcar’'s second step will have 730 voters
Again, this election has been FIXED by politicos and special interests who care more about themselves far more than the fate of this broke-ass town.
Sly will win!
ReplyDeleteWho really cares? I don't live or spend money in that district so why should most of us give a damn?
ReplyDeleteWhy is this a surprise?? That fucking silver-back son-of-a-bitch mayor, was gonna fuck Kansas City all along. No, this shouldn't be a revelation to anybody.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your nuanced take on the issue. Please tell me you didn't reproduce.
ReplyDeleteBlack mayor, black president same results..failure!!!! really has nothing to do with race or color, but it is a coincidence!
ReplyDeleteNot having an educated opinion on any issue, it becomes easy for you to fall back on racism. I get that. It makes me very sad for you.
ReplyDeleteWell guess we wait and see if 730 people put a fucking on KC that will last for many, many years.
ReplyDeleteFor any resident of KCMO who thinks they'll escape paying for this fiasco, you certainly haven't been payingmuch attention to the old switcheroo way things work at 12th and Oak.
ReplyDeleteThis will cost many millions to operate and maintain and most of that money will be coming out of the general fund.
You know, the one that pays for cops, streets, and all the rest.
And for jfolks who don't live in KCMO, good choice.
True!
DeleteShame on you Sly. You sold us out.
ReplyDeleteSo the 730 people aren't going to be paying for this thing? How can they decide what the rest of KC people have to pay?
ReplyDeleteLast weel on "Ruckus", every panelist was FOR this initiative.
ReplyDelete?
Get with the program TKC. This streetcar is going to happen.
ReplyDeleteI love that pic, it looks like a big headed zebra playing with toys lol
ReplyDelete8:36 it may happen, because the poeople of kc either dont vote (dont blame them) or vote like morons, anyway I just want to know if after 6 months of the street car FAIL after they bring it in - where the museum will be? next to Kemper?, next to Sprint center? or on the front lawn of city hall!
ReplyDeleteTaxation without representation won't stand. It's time to tell our council how you feel.

Stop this waste of our money.
It's YOUR money, not theirs.
Just because something is "legal" don't make it "right".
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, most of our city leadership has demonstrated repeatedly they don't get the concept of what is right and wrong.
Very disappointing.
Let it pass. The legal challenges to this idiocy will make damn sure it doesn't happen, but it must be an issue ripe for litigation. Kcmo is so amateurish.
ReplyDeleteOnce this passes all he has left is a new convention hotel and airport terminal. Then maybe Sly could focus on serving the people living in the City.
ReplyDeleteAll Aboard!!!!!!!Toot Toot...Will it be one of those Bullet trains like they have in Europe and Japan?
ReplyDeleteIt wont matter because Clay going to win in court and you get a change to vote a better plan for mass trant.
ReplyDeleteLegal challenges could have -- but didn't -- appear while the petition to form the TDD was actually in court, before a real sitting judge.
ReplyDeleteSome of us tried to raise legal challenges but these things cost a fortune. Hopefully, after it passes, the big guys with the money who will be paying the highest taxes will file the legal challenges.
ReplyDeleteThats a nice thought, but its the richest morons in the city that back the city officials that give the city officials the audacity to do the corrupt immoral shit they do, when will people actually get it?
