Motion To Dismiss $1.3 Million Lawsuit Against Congressman Cleaver's Car Wash Company
Local legal maneuvers: "Lawyers for U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver's company have asked a Jackson County judge to dismiss a Bank of America lawsuit that seeks repayment of more than $1.3 million loaned to the company to buy a Grandview car wash."

This is an embarrassment, not just to Kansas City, but to Missouri and to Congress.
The congressman should do the right thing and NOT let the taxpayers on the hook for this loan. If he does he should resign.....but like most of the people in congress HE will NOT do the right thing.
I used to think more highly of the congressman, now, not so much!
Cleaver says but I am special and shouldn't have to pay back the loan. I mean GD I am a Congressman for Christ sakes.
Cleaver is the poster example of the victimization-entitlement philosophy that has destroyed the black community on the east side. Elect me and I'll go to city hall, or Washington, or somewhere and bring back some money that can be spread around among family, freinds, and "leaders". How kuch has been spent on the Green Impact Zone and just where has all that money gone?
And he handles his personal life exactly the same way starting with the trip to Florida at taxpayers' expense just after being elected mayor.
It's a pitiful excue for a philosophy and one that has brought nothing but grief to the folks he claims he represents.
And residents, citizens, and tax payers are sick and tired of it.
And I didn't even get a free carwash.
Turk just may have a chance.
This is a really bad move. I like him a lot but he's pushing his luck.
I propose a motion to dismiss Clesver. All those in favor vote Turk Nov 7.

I'm Black and voted for Turk. Wish him the best of luck! Sometimes, it just doesn't matter whether you're demoncrat or republican. I like Cleaver but he's been a bit of a disappointment. My vote doesn't go to the one I like. Social hour is over.
