A bit of sad news in the Missouri SOS race . . .

Shane Scholler's Mom recently died of heart trouble. She was 66.

TKC doesn't want to be ghoulish but some insiders are asking . . .

Will this loss impact the Missouri SOS race between Shane Schoeller and Jason Kander? Suffering a terrible tragedy like this will undoubtedly be a challenge for Mr. Schoeller and like it or not this is the same kind of question that faces pro-athletes when they lose a loved one before a contest.

I doubt he reads this blog but TKC sends sincere condolences to Mr. Schoeller and his family.

“The last three days have proven what I have always known, that my mother was a strong and courageous fighter. She set a consistent example of hard work, honesty, and integrity for her children and grandchildren, other family members, and her friends.

All of us loved her very dearly. She will be missed by all who knew her. We give thanks at her joy in being with the Lord.

“The outpouring of support, prayer, and kindness we have received has been deeply humbling. We would ask that people keep us in prayer in coming days.”

The loss of a loved one is always difficult news to bear. My condolences to the Schoeller family."
