Isn't this pushing into Al Brooks' turf? How are he and his ad Hoc buds supposed to make a living?
And just a couploe weeks ago Forte' ws crowing about the reduction in homicides.
Maybe more tweets from patrol cars would help!

Of the 89 homicides of 2012, more than half remain unsolved. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

Here's a thought . . . have the Detectives actually leave the office and "detect" a few clues. Anyone can wait for the tip to come in. Anyone can wander around in a Hot Spot and wave at the residents. But a real Detective gets out and solves the crime. Those days are gone at the KCPD.

Victims' families, Chief Forte is here for you. Not to worry, we are ramping up the NOVA program now and putting your tax dollars into more offices instead of the "backbone" of the department, patrol. No program will ever be more effective than prevention.

What really hepls in preventing crime is fear of punishment. Build more prisons. Hand out stiffer punishments. It's that simple.

If you want to build more prisons, you will have to raise taxes.

Lets require seizure revenues (from cars, homes, inventory and cash) to fund prison construction rather than bullshit toys.

Last year Chief Forte (black), Deputy Chief Hundley (black) and Captain Mitchell (black) ran off a bunch of white homicide detectives including one of the best the KCPD ever had. Incredibly, they publically said they wanted more "diversity" in the Homicide Unit. I guess to reflect the people they deal with. Nice, the KCPD wants more black homicide detectives to reflect who is doing the most homicides. The remaining detectives got them some new crime fighting phones and detectiving cars.

And look where we are. The bigotry of the black command staff hasn't solved a damn thing. Black on black crimes is no different and the rate of clearance is worst than ever. That is progress. IF the shit they pulled really worked, there wouldn't be much need for white cops now would there.

Forum, just a fancy candlelight vigil. Won't accomplish dick. KCPD just hoping the families don't go too public about the incompetence of the investigations.

Well raise taxes. Stop the streetcar.
