What do you expect?
The city closed the only local drag strip, that is like closing the local playground, yet letting the kids still have the toys, they will play and they will hurt people. This is nothing new, stupid governments do this year after year with kids dead and millions of dollars wasted.
You can elect educated people, but they turn stupid and lose commmon sense when they raise thier hand and are sworn in.

In the 60's Brookside Blvd was zooming loud some nights.
Next, the city will be buying the strip club at Noland and 350 highway for the new Noland Road.
