Kansas City Star Endorses Gov. Jay Despite The Fact Local Democrats Don't Like Him

As the election grows near, Kansas City is once again reminded that politics is nothing more than a choice between the lesser of two lessers . . .

Gov. Jay Nixon has earned a second term

Again, The Kansas City Star noted a bit of presser copy when offering their nod to Gov. Jay and his record. Meanwhile, most Kansas City voters can only credit Gov. Jay with a great many auto giveaways and so many appearances on CNN during the Joplin Disaster that we all thought he was trying to replace Anderson Cooper.

Nixon does not deserve Democratic votes said...

It is a little like endorsing Mussolini over Hitler, or Baby Doc over Pappa Doc.

Democrats should simply skip over the gubernatorial race on the ballot.

Nixon will win anyway, but the larger margin he gets, the harder it will be when he runs against a real Democrat in some future primary for Senate or President.

We haven't learned to keep Republicans out of state government, because they'll take away your voting rights....make grandma move out of the nursing home into your house, and make your kids borrow money from their parents to go to college.

Republicans are only good for making money, not running government services.

Nixon will be hot property in 2016 as a VP candidate to appeal to voters in the red states. He is a true maverick. If Nixon switches parties in the next four years, he will have a future in the Republican Party. He doesn't need the party at this time.
