Kansas City Aldi Construction Coming Soon
KSHB reports on a bit of relief for Kansas Citys' food desert on 39th and Prospect: "Aldi was set to open this past summer, but a change in design and approval from the city slowed it down. Klawuhn said all that remains is final permission from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources."

That place is going to robbed blind until it closes its doors. Hopefully they hand our CCW with the vests they have to wear
No matter the location, Aldi stores are depressing as hell.
All the "food desert" do-gooders should be voluntering themselves and their families and friends to work there.
On the night shift.
Without air conditioning after the compressor has been trashed for its copper.
Then they might begin to understand why no one is going to invest their own money or work with the usual gang of grifters who have their hands in everything and everyone's pockets.
Just like the East Patrol scam.
shoplifting will kill it, robbery not so much. This wont be a cash business mostly food stamps.
I really like aldis. Good value. Decent wines too. Beer not so much.
i gotz ma eye on it!
7:41: Which store has the wines? The one in Waldo and on Troost don't carry them.
There's no food dessert. There's plenty of grocery stores in this area. The problem is the quality. Aldi doesn't add much value as far as quality goes. Let's celebrate manufactured and genetically engineered food in the Third District.
Aldi doesn't solve the main problem access to fresh food but go ahead and celebrate nothing prematurely.
Aldi has a pretty good produce department and reasonable prices, which is more than the 'hood has now.
They will lose every single grocery that's not nailed down.
They best change the entrance to the storest to easy to run in mug cashier and fly out the door.
Plus the cheap ass crooks be busting the shopping carts for the quarters

Herein lies the problem. Broke, dubmassed Blacks always willing to take sloppy seconds with their "at least" statements. Wish you people would have better self-esteem and learn that excellence is learned not delivered. Have at your manufactured food. When you have cancer in 3 years, I hope you're still celebrating this milestone.
