A bit of good news about an enduring Kansas City media legacy . . .
Bottom Line Communications posts a rather heartwarming report on Walt Bodine and his life after retirement last year.
His story is inspiring and while he's a nice, old man that everybody loves now . . . Let's remember that he gave local politicos and the establishment more than a few headaches in his heyday. I discovered his work when he was doing food reviews in the early 90s.
The lesson . . . Making people angry and eating horrible food pays off in the long run as long as you finish with a smile. Natch.

Sixty years from now, assuming you are alive, what say you about your contributions to society, free press, and being a decent and honorable person? Better yet, what says history? Walt Bodine has made his mark. Go make yours.
