Forgetable Sen. Claire McCaskill Husband's Low-Income Housing Subsidy Scandal

AP on KCTV5: "Businesses affiliated with the husband of Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill have received almost $40 million in federal subsidies for low-income housing developments during her first five years in office, though it appears only fraction of that has made it to the family's bank accounts, according to an Associated Press analysis."

Two reasons why this important news doesn't really get mentioned following this afternoon . . .

1. Voters don't like thinking about complicated real estate schemes.

2. Attacking the spouse of a candidate is a sure way to defeat because it seems unlikeable . . . Example: Our own Mayor Sly never once mentioned Former "First Lady" of Kansas City Gloria Squitiro.

This is more offensive to me than Gloria offending the delecate ears of her staff with her raunchy talk. This is our money and I'd rather have Gloria talk dirty to me then to have Mr. Clair pick my pocket.

And yet, when faced with a tax bill of over 300K, Claire whips out the checkbook and pays it!?!?

Yeah - she's just like us!

Just sell that damn plane!

That is interesting that her first husband was shot hoo and killed in the middle of the hood and this husband is billing the government to subsidize the hood.

When the spouse is actively working to use Claire's position for personal profit it is fair game. Just another fine reason to get rid of her.
