DEAD TREE MEDIA REALITY CHECK TODAY!!! NO MORE NEWSWEEK PRINT EDITION!!!
New York Times: Newsweek Will Cease Print Publication at End of Year
Meanwhile . . . Kansas City Star Dead Tree Media defenders are too lofty to even get in the same room with TKC nowadays because we're in the last days of their decaying corporate brand that doesn't hold on to an advantage in the digital world.
And we wanted to ruin Dave Helling's big breakfast.

No big loss, it was only a shell of its former self. They tried to make it the Fox News of the left and failed.
I have a comment here but I mailed it from the Post Office.
The dead brain internet generations aren't interested in journalism or much of anything else.
Why waste good trees on Internet morons and idiots?
For crying out loud it is 2012 already. No need for print media - especially since journalism dies years ago. Little need for brick and mortar universities, printed text books, brick and mortar retail stores, physical banks, a record industry, theaters or Starbucks.
That speaks volumes. If anyone around here ever figured out how to deliver good, balanced local coverage online they would make a killing. Too bad The Star is busy hanging onto the daily print edition format.
Why not take the talent they have and redirct it to a kick ass online news gathering machine. Add some real video and online newscasts direct from the newsroom and they could top all. Then if they just have to have print, do a weekend Sunday news mag of investigative and in-depth features on the largest stories of the week or last couple of weeks.
