CHECK IT: CANDICE AND THE TKC INBOX!!!

Because sometimes comments aren't enough . . . Candice Swanepoel and her lingerie goodness inspire us to check in to our mail bag . . . Nullus.

To wit . . .

CHECK OUT THESE KANSAS CITY TOPICS THAT HAVE INSPIRED MORE THAN A BIT OF TKC READER FEEDBACK OFF THE RECORD!!!

First . . .

HERE'S A WORD ABOUT ALL THOSE JACKSON COUNTY LAYOFFS THAT ALLEGEDLY NEVER HAPPENED!!!

"These prosecutor jobs were in family support aka: child support aka: the only money earning unit in the office. 15 jobs may sound like a blip, but good employees are gone, mediocre employees remain. Services will suffer because they have their fingers in too many pots to do anything (collecting money and establishing tough cases) effectively. If you are not currently getting your child support, do not hold your breath. Also, write letters! Document it and hold your workers accountable. That office is there to serve the children of Jackson County. The people at the top who made these calls are most accountable when things fail."

And now . . .

THERE'S STILL A GREAT DEAL OF KANSAS CITY STOPLIGHT REMOVAL OUTRAGE!!!

However, this reader offers an alternative look:

"I've lived in Oak Meyer Gardens since 1994. I drive through these intersections daily and I generally like changes. Not only have the stop signs slowed me down (safer driving), but I seem to actually be getting through more quickly. For example, at Main/Gregory -- the speed limit along Gregory is 35 but hardly anyone ever breaks 30. Having driven it a zillion times, I found myself getting impatient when I would see the green light up-ahead and knowing if the person in front of me would just drive the speed limit we could make the light. Now I just creep up to it until my turn and I can sail right through with no fuss at all. Almost relaxing, by comparison -- an opportunity to feel courteous rather than competitive. The other thing I like is that stop signs put humans in control rather than an apparatus. A stop light is "We tell you what to do" and and the stop-sign is "You make the decision". Until we have self-driving cars drivers should be the decision-makers."
#####

LET'S FINISH THINGS UP WITH A BIT OF KANSAS CITY COFFEE TALK!!!

"P.S. This volunteer thing may do more harm than good. The very people they exploit will come to learn why there is so much "disliking" (for lack of a better word) towards Danny and his company. Good luck volunteers, see you at a true Kansas city coffee success story, broadway cafe, oddly correct, Bennetis, filling station or any other coffee company with real soul in a couple weeks"
######

"To everyone who is defending the plane and Danny. Don't you think it's strange that all these people have such terrible things to say about the company? I guarntee that almost all of these negative comments come from people who have worked at or simply have had contact with Danny. These things don't come out of the blue they come from understanding and experince of who Danny is and what kind of bullying he breeds with his company. I truly love Kansas city and will stand behind almost everyone home grown company, but I won't do it without the correct knowledge of what the company is, I won't allow myself to look or sound so ignorant. I hope that you all have the facts of who and what it is your defending. It is a horrible company with an owner that is best described as an evil villain out of a cartoon hell bent on taking of the world in the most corrupt and irresponsible way possible. Please PLEASE do some research and not just a tour."

I've heard for years that O'Neill was an unpleasant ogre. But I like the plane.

Mike has always played to the press with lies, he is just getting caught now.

What!!!!!! said...

Is she kidding with that the stop signs are better, four way stops with people have nothing but a sign to control it. If stop signs where so safe why did they go to lights. Lights control the crazy driver so you can go now its up to luck. What a dumb statement. Also go to the federal transportation dept and look at the numbers lights are much safer we where lied too.

Danny's sperm has the taste of coffee...it makes me stay up all night!

So when you spoke directly to Danny what did he say about it? You have discussed it with him right? I mean, you wouldn't be so irresponsible to write so extensively without direct interaction with the subject of this tirade, right?

To put this BS in proper perspective look at how many people think that TKC is a complete waste of sperm. How many disgruntled reviews does he garner EVERY day? This senseless tirade is nothing more than the pot trying to call the kettle brown.

If somebody wants good coffee, go to Hattie's Fine Coffee in Prairie Village.
You will get service from the friendly owners, Gretchen and David, or one of their loyal employees, Amanda, Haley, and Keely.
It is a locally owned shop involved in the community. David is a SME graduate, Gretchen graduated from SMS.
If you rage against the corporate mentality, you need to go there.

Agreed. Hattie's is WONDERFUL!

Yes I as well agree Hatties is a nice place to grab a cup of fancy joe at.

1. Why do you keep using a photo of KCMO City Hall for stories about Jackson County?

2. Don't really have an opinion about the coffee or the owner, but love the airplane! The first time I drove by, it just struck me as really cool. However, if the neighborhood doesn't want it, then their preferences should be honored.
