CELEBRATE KANSAS CITY KILLING DEMOCRACY ON TRACK TO BUILDING A DOWNTOWN TOY TRAIN STREETCAR!!!

This morning there's the myth of objectivity regarding a pricey plan that's soon to railroad the people of this town:
10 key questions and answers about the KC streetcar plan Sadly, the inquiries aren't the good and the replies are even worse from a Dead Tree outlet that has played the cheerleader for development and taxes for years.
KC streetcar plan: pricey transit or economic magnet? Answer . . . Neither, it's corporate and construction welfare with a bit of political payoff thrown in for good measure. At the expense of all KC Taxpayers in the long run.
Still . . . Mayor Sly will get his toy train thanks to his beautiful smile.

And what's troubling is not only a stunning lack of priorities by Kansas City's elected officials but also this effort that cuts out voters who will be forced to pay the bill in the long run.

The rhetoric for this train is mostly tired, canned and espoused by suits who have long ago sold their soul to stay in the good graces of politicos and corporations who pretend that they aren't a part of local entitlement culture as well.
DEVELOPING . . .

Is your favorite former council member for this?
Terry Riley?
He's getting PAID!
You are wrong Russ Johnson and his strong penis will drive the spike into the ground and bring KC into the new age. Get a ride.
Can anyone tell me functionally, how this is different from the bus that runs the same route or that could run the exact same route?
It will put KC on the list of cities with trains!
9:20 Black people ride the bus, white people will ride the toy train. They can feel good about saving the planet which will make them feel less guilty about making money while the poor blacks clean their offices.
9:20 Good point! George Carlin has a great video on YouTube about the planet does not need saving.
Well clay plan is much better plan to vote on because mass transit plan.
Let's see, I can drive that route in 5 minutes, or I can ride the train that will take 15 minutes. Seems logical. Lol
Get out of the way, TKC. Train coming through!
$ spent on underused parking garages for suburbanites and crybaby cardrivers in the last 10 years downtown:
$100 million
I didn't get to vote on that shit.
Shame on Sly!
Find it so interesting how Mr. Craig (Never had an original thought in his life) Glazer writes this more or less same story over on KCC.
Just saying you know, no Chiefs game, so guess he was maybe surfing looking for a story to rip off.
Kansas City would be going back towards previous vitality with rail.
