Anyone noticed how all those hard core MU fans screaming how good the SEC would be for MU are now nowhere to be found?

Look no further Superdave. We knew it wouldn't be easy, and hasn't been helped with a young/injured O-line.
Long term, it's still going to be better for us than remaining in the Big XII(10). Especially after 3 teams left before us. Just wait for Texas to take the next 6 years to set up their move to become an independent team. Also, if the PAC 12 hadn't rebuffed the TX/OK overtures the Big XII(10) would have folded.
It's going to be rough for us, but it's better than an uncertain future in a league dominated by 2-3 teams, at least 2 of which would bail at the first chance they get.
The MU/Big XII relationship had become an abusive one. Other fans had been vocal about how we weren't good enough for the SEC, and how we're throwing away years of history (which included some incredible calls against us, and being slighted by the conference in bowl games once we became competitive again). When we finally left it was "Baby, how could you do this to us? Don't you know how much you mean to us?" Once the papers were signed, the comments (like yours) sound like bitter exes.
MU was a mid-40s divorcee. We might not have been the hottest thing on the market, and we weren't sure what was out there, but whatever it is...it had to be better than what we had.
