KSHB reports a tragic bit of local news: "Stop The Violence Coalition took to the streets around the 3700 block of E. 29th Street on Saturday to reach out to neighbors who might have witnessed the Sept. 8 murder of one of their members, Anthony Shelby. The 35-year-old was shot and killed in front of the house he was living in with relatives."

What's tragic is that the very same people who claim anti-violence are the very perpetrator's past & present who commit assaults in the area. Whether its verbal or physical, the result is the same. This toxicity has got to subside. There are too many generations lost. Just look at Aim4Peace, Adhoc Group Against Crime and now this group. Many of its members are former or present drug addicts, gang members and of course murderers. I don't know this person but I'm sure we can make the inference. It's unfortunate another black child must go without a father; assuming the victim was even part of his children's lives.
It all starts with the people. If the citizen, black, white, tan, yellow, red or orange do not take back control then all is lost.
The citizens who pay taxes for some reason listen to the grifters, bums, minstrels, cons, buck dancin' opportunists and political derelicts rather then demand accountability.
The majority population is black so just on a mathematical equation there must be more blacks than whites that take control and demand proper education, competent law enforcement, functional city services and ethical leaderhip if things are going to change. Not racist just numerical facts.
Now if the citizens who are the plankholders do not take responsibilty then nothing will change and the haters will be yelping racial insults due to the numerical ranking of the people of color who could make the change.
