The new Jackson County Animal Shelter is turning into a debacle and will probably sit empty until the end of the year.

Take a look at this money quote from her latest newsletter . . .
"I've had the opportunity to visit the new animal shelter a few weeks ago and it is an impressive facility. At the moment, the county is in the process of releasing a request for proposal (RFP) in order to attract a potential operator for the shelter. I feel it's important that we seek out a partner who is able to use the facility at its full potential so I will be following this process carefully. Please take a moment to view our discussion about the shelter during our last legislative meeting. It is interesting to note that the first year that Garza has control of the AFL-CIO executive, there is no Labor Day Parade or picnic. What do you say to that Bitch?
It is also interesting that Waits was all up in TG back before she ran for office. Hmmmmm anyone know why?
Denny has his faults, but one of his enduring legacies will be the construction and eventual successful operation of this animal shelter. He has a good heart underneath all the political bullshit.

How about a few million to study the train system?

How bout we just use the common sense we were elected to use..and save the money to 'study' it some more? But put that money in infrastructure like safer roads, traffic signals, water and utilities.
We work too hard for our money than to just hand it over to Burns & Mac.
