We've been getting a lot of info and helpful tips regarding powerhouse Kansas City Political Action Committee Freedom Inc.
Like it or not, Freedom Inc. proved EXTREMELY INFLUENTIAL during the recent primary election and looks to take an even more important role now that some say Missouri is back in play for President Obama.
Still . . . There are a couple of open questions out there for the group.
There's a bit of concern about leadership and the prospect of upcoming elections and voting for members.
Also, behind the scenes we have heard increased concerns about fines from The Missouri Ethics Commisson that may soon impact the East side political organization.
Thankfully . . .

Here's the money quote that should keep us up to date . . .
"The bylaw committee is the process of rewriting the bylaws. A leadership team comprised of former city councilman Charles Hazley, Gayle Holliday, and MO State Sen. KiKi Curls are managing affairs for the organization. There is no president at the current time. I don't want to comment on any fines at this point. The matter is pending before the Mo Ethics Commission and we hope to have it resolved soon."
Again, much to the chagrin of detractors/haters Freedom Inc. REMAINS an integral part of Kansas City's political landscape going into the upcoming election.

Earlier in the year mainstream pundits said that all KC pacs were no longer influential. That didn't really turn out to be the case as nobody guessed voter turnout would be so low.
Always love to wait for the Freedom slate of candidates so I can know who to vote against.

When your audience believes Freedom means being able to pursue higher priorities such as sports, fashion, and "acting hard" than on education, self-respect, and self-improvement you may as well put Kyle James on the board of directors. Change the name to Murder Inc.
To those in the know, they know that Charles Hazley and Gail Holliday should get your attention. The old gang is comin' back.
There will be more money siphoned off this time. Not a little like before.
What about Illegal drugs, teenage pregnancy, Black Entertainment Television, high school dropouts, anti-intellectualism, gangsta rap, vulgarity, thievery, offensive clothing, vanity, parental alienation, single-parenting. They talk about that or just avoid the issue and blame it on the whites living West of Troost?
As long as Velda Cooke maintains a no-work job at the public expense I guess Freedom Inc. has acheived everthing it can do.
The "club" extorts money from potential candidates for office. It is a Pay-for-Play racket. The US Attorney should open an investigation based on the reports of corruption contained in multiple MEC reports and a Federal Elections Commission enforcement action. People need to go to jail and the "club" should be desolved. Maybe then the African American community can be important to the election process again.
Of course it is a pay for play racket. That's their entire modus operandi, although you can't expect any of the members of Freedom to know what that means.

Missouri isn't in play in teh Pesidential election and anyone who greases any palms of this group based on that notion is stupied than a box of rocks.
And in the last mayoral election, Rowland gave Freedom $50,000 and the TOTAL number of votes in the Third District was just 5000. Keep in mind that a concilmanic district contains about 63,000 residents and you'll get a better idea of what a total ripoff that was.
It's sad that the folks who could use some good representaton, a solid education for their children, and some empowerment and help in taking control of their own lives is constantly preyed upon by the same band of grifters, deadbeats, extortionists, and nepotists who keep working as hard as they can for their own interests while the east side cotinues to slide into oblivion.
And everyone just stands on the sidelines and watches it happen.
the peoples of kc richly deserves whats they gets. They will not take responsibility and take action to fix the mess. So they get the government they tolerate an they get the failed City services on all levels to include a local school district treating their kids like garbage.
Until the citizens see through all the negrofile con artists nothing good will happen.

Velda cashed checks that did not belong to her. She should be in Jail and not working for County Corrections.

Yeah T you have to stop listening to Clinton Adams. Rewriting their bylaws so they can steal money and contracts from each other legitimately.
Holiday steals her money via the phone bank. Adams shakes candidates down via legal retainer fees and Hazley gets insurance contracts. Yeah they are making a comeback alright. Funny Tony funny.
Hazley also was convicted, I believe, for non-payment of taxes. Need to check Casenet. But he has major issues.
