Check the latest testimony from TKC TIPSTERS regarding increasing violence instead of a so-called Downtown Renaissance for Kansas City:
"Was at P&L tonight (Don't ask why haha) and was told that two cars were shooting at each other near 16th and McGee behind Cigar Box. The guy said he didn't know if anyone was shot. Figured that you'd roll with this story since the local media probably wouldn't."
Again, while we encourage Kansas City attempting to make progress in the constant fight against violence and homicide . . . A couple of things stand out.
In the first weekend of "Shot Spotter" tech going live in this cowtown, it's interesting how more Downtown shooting doesn't get much coverage.
And think about this: The Plaza Theater closing over the weekend sets a dangerous trend: Are we really admitting that we can't have anything nice in Kansas City because staying constantly vigilant against crime is too difficult?
I can't answer these questions . . . I just want to bother you d-bags with the same thoughts that are troubling me.
But what I do know . . .
THAT SO-CALLED KANSAS CITY DOWNTOWN "RENAISSANCE" IS ALSO BRINGING INCREASED VIOLENCE THAT MANY NEWSIES AND POLITICOS DON'T LIKE TO ACKNOWLEDGE!!!

Just wait one night it will be the Kaufman center where it happens and someone of importance will be hurt then and only then will you see all hell break loose.

A few weeks would pass, and, just like when the fuckin MAYOR had to take evasive action and dodge BULLETS during a Black Flash Mob running riot on the Plaza, the news would be mitigated by the usual 4th estate shitheels who will never, under any circumstance fix blame on the actual criminals.
Then, after the city and nation has been "Stockholm Syndromed" by the media for a couple of months, Muriel will donate a couple million for a "Community Center" in the neighborhood where the fuckin pukes came from and our fellow citizen "Manchurian Candidates" will return to singing Kumbaya and floggin our dolphins to rap music.

ReplyDeleteWe're continuing to ignore it and as the east side empties out, the mayhem is heading west right toward downtown where all that taxpayer money has been thrown away on pipe dreams and property owners maximizing their returns at public expense.

ReplyDeleteExactly what can happen when the city starts playing like they are in business folk. Would a regular nightclub owner anywhere else in the city get away with being a nemeses? Now KC will end up having to shut itself down as a public nuisance. .....Then there is that 18th and Vine Jazz club where liquor is allowed o flow all night and morning long thanks to a few politicians.
