Many people in Missouri are still backing GOP Rep. Todd Akin — some more strongly than before — after his controversial remarks about rape and pregnancy.

The reactionary wackos have a tendency to hijack this argument but what's more important is that behind the scenes there aren't a lot of Kansas City Democrats who feel a lot of allegiance to Sen. Claire. There seems to be an overwhelming sentiment that she's taken just as much as she's given from the local Democratic Party.
On the bright side, this Missouri political lady facing a fight that should no contest recently sold her private plane for $2 mil so she's gonna be fine no matter how this turns out.

I think other than the teavangelists who make a religious choice, most people are going to vote based on which party they want to get that senate seat.
Those who like obstructed, paralyzed government, will hold their noses and vote for Akin.
Progressives will vote for Claire. I don't see anything unlikable about her. Pretty much all the public criticism she gets comes from Republican activists counting partisan votes in the Senate.
Missouri voted for a dead man for Governor one time, but he was liked. I don't see them voting for someone they don't really know except for being the stupidist candidate in the history of the state just because he's a Republican.

Claire fucked up when she announced to the world that she's 100% behind Barack Obama-Mugabe and proceeded to hitch her wagon to his dead horse.
Claire is a nasty mean old hag who just has accumumlated too much baggage and enemies, even within her own party. I'm not voting for her, and neither are many other Independent voters.

Let's see, meth labs in her office, admitted illegal drug use (just google Claire and drugs and you can see it from the old nag's mouth), and stories from her days in Kansas City - you wonder how she got this far.

She is ABSOLUTELY more unlikable.
Democrats want to shame us into NOT voting for Akin, but Missouri hasn't forgotten than McCaskill promised to represent us, but turned around and voted for Obamacare in the face of 71% of Missourians who later voted for Health Care Freedom.
And that was before we learned that Obamacare legitimately rapes Medicare of $716B.
So McCaskill is on a listening tour on college campuses? I wonder if she'll talk down to students in her "mommy knows best" voice like she did when her constituents told her very loudly "WE DO NOT WANT OBAMACARE,"
She has to go, and electing Akin will send a national message that Missouri AND THE COUNTRY expect Romney/Ryan to do EVERYTHING possible for a full or partial repeal of Obamacare.

When Claire pulled her head out of Missouri and stuck it up Obama's arse she sealed her fate. However, it is entirely possible that Akin may keep running his mouth and hand her the election.
