A MEASLY MILLION BUCKS DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS WORTH OF STADIUM IMPROVEMENTS AND REALLY ISN'T MUCH MORE THAN CITY HALL CASH DISHED OUT DIRECTLY FOR THE ALL-STAR GAME!!!
Don't forget to deduct $350K directly from that total given that KC put up that much cash (and more) for All-Star Game accommodations.

Like this is the first time the taxpayers were played for suckers over these sports hootenannys? I got a C note that says next time they want to flower up a stadium the dumb citizens will jump like the schmucks they are. What a bunch of morons.
And by the time the NEXT BIG THING comes to town, KCMO taxpayers will hve thrown away another few hundred million on the streetcar and a new downtown hotel.
Someone needs to help the convention/visitors and city hall folks understand that as they spend EVEN MORE PUBLIC MONEY the ratio of expenditures/return GETS SMALLER.
Maybe somone from the KCPS could help them. Right after they do something about the 250K folks who can't read referred to in the previous post.

Obviously, the key to this income problem is to get the cops out there ticketing and arresting more people so the city can fine the shit out of them (he said facetiously). The city leaders think a reduction in tickets and arrests is a BAD thing. Yep, I definitely want those guys calling the shots for the KCPD. No conflict of interest or potential for political shennanigans there. No, siree. Just pure leadership at its finest.
