Mayor Sly & Russ Johnson: $3 Mil. Rush Plan For Fixing Kansas City Streets!!!

Just a quick TKC Fact Check . . . $3 Million for Kansas City streets won't be noticeable to even the most critical observer.

Furthermore . . . It doesn't come close to the commitment that Mayor Sly and Council Dude Russ are prepared to make to Downtown Kansas City Streetcar Toy Train.

Kansas City Mayor Sly James announces a road-improvement plan.

How come I didn't get to vote on this. I live in Blue Springs. This is just another KC boondoggle to fix mostly empty streets no one uses.

The KCMO Public Works Department won't be able to effectively spend even this piddly amount of money, so of course they'll need consultants and others to provide expertise and supervision. So by the time the actual work is done, it will all amount to even less than it appear now.
Sly still hasn't figured out that government really should be more than a series of disconnected press conferences, or at least he should be getting better at peddling baloney by now.
And now, on to the NEXT Big Thing!

How about $100 million for streets and $3 million for a streetcar that nobody will use. Once his consultant & engineering friends are done there might be $20 million or so left for the actual work.

Good work, Taco Breath! You've managed to wake up pinheads like 2:53 who wonders why he can't vote in Kansas City and live in Blue Springs. And you have the city manager in 8:15 PM comment saying he isn't part of the problem-which he is! Fact is that it's a good start in the right direction and Sly and the council are doing a good job.
