Massive Midtown KC Crackdown Catches 18

KCTV5: An overnight DUI checkpoint in Kansas City added up to 18 arrests for police.

Money Quote: "Police said they stopped 734 vehicles Saturday night during the five-hour checkpoint at West 39th Street and Southwest Trafficway. The northbound traffic was checked."

Well it is nice to know that 734 citizens were inconvenienced so the city could collect $7200 in fines. Mean time cops were partying like hell north of the river.

Yes, I was stopped at one about 6 or 8 years ago around 83(?).

Ya had to pull into a parking lot on the west side of the road.

For some reason I wasn't drunk that day.
