Masters has the cajones to stand up to Forte's chronyism. Which is exactly why Forte has screwed him over and screwed him over and put him in a do-nothing job. Sure, he could sit on his ass, or go home, or hide from everyone like Forte does but that isn't part of Master's character. He has ethics to walk away rather than do nothing and draw a big paycheck.

Shock, breaking, developing.

DC Masters is a great dude....I wish the Royals would sign him up again....Good luck with your future endeavors...

PS-could u take the 2 others with u?

Uh, Masters was in charge of the Violent Crimes Division. That is the Division responsible for investigating homicides, armed robberies, etc. I don't like Forte one bit (he's a liar and a thief). But Masters was equally a do-nothing in his own ways.

WAS being the operative word 320. Forte put in Hundley, the king of do-nothings. I imagine on any give day before ten a.m. and after 3 p.m. you couldn't find the Forte or any of his deputy chiefs on the fifth floor. I can guaran-damn-tee you it ain't because their out in the field doing police work.

U know those 2 read this shit and probly kick back and eat it up with all the 99.9% accuracy in all the comments made on this board....I say you all give Hundley-hunybun a chance 2 be chief and then promote Good 'Old Lads Ell and Harvey as the next D.C.'s..... Whatcha say guys/gals.

Retired commander....

I wonder if the chief had a pre-signed resignation too.

While working off duty at the "K" during the home opener I saw Forte, Sylvester, and Masters walked through where I was. Of the three Masters was the only one who walked up to me and talked to me. Very nice dude. The others were kinda of a joke.

Forte is an arrogant jackass who's primary concern is self-promotion.

439, that is a lie and you know it

He had the chance to be a great chief. Personally, away from work, a great funny guy. At work, a self proclaimed and well known pain in the backside. Unfortunately, when they get to that top spot they no longer stay true to their core self, why? no idea, never completely understood that. you would think at that level you could and should be yourself.

Glad he's leaving.

And some ignorant assed mindless fools want to turn this already dysfunctional police department over to even more dysfunctional local control.

When does the insanity stop?

Evidently his chances of promotion were nill. I wonder if he had trouble working with the new "brothers". I bet Brad is kicking himself for backing the wrong candidate!!!
