KC SPILLOVER: MORE METH TOWN KILLING!!!
The consensus among local crime watchers is that (more than anybody else) Independence, MO has paid dearly for the slightly lower homicide rate in Kansas City Proper.
In a push for more police and taxes in Meth Town, their Chief cited proximity to Kansas City FAIL as a reason that voters should approve more funds. The effort to acquire more Meth Town po-po failed but it offered an important insight into what some local law enforcement people REALLY think.

I doubt criminals are fleeing KC for Independence because of the police. When you share a border with a failed city there will be problems but criminals are not fleein KC because they are afraid of the KCPD.
