Burning Sensation: Kansas City Weather Newsie Silence Amid Global Climate Change!!!

Not so long ago Kansas City Weather Newise Mike Thompson raged when confronted with the reality of global climate change. He quickly deleted his online posting on the subject and doesn't like to talk about it much . . . At the very least, he shared his opinion.

Nowadays an inconvenient fact was recently put on blast without a peep from Kansas City's weather elite.

Take a look . . .

"Unprecedented Territory": 2012 the Hottest Year Recorded in the U.S. So Far

In U.S., 2012 so far is hottest year on record

First Eight Months of 2012 Warmest on Record, U.S. Says

This evidence contradicts Global Climate Change deniers and should concern just about everybody. Seriously, it's a shame Kansas City media skipped over this important detail.

Sadly . . . The Toy Train isn't going to save us.

I won't even pretend to have the answer but only look forward to Candice Swanepoel wearing even skimpier clothing as the planet burns.

  1. Yeah, record or near record cold this early in September. I used to take 2 weeks off from work in July, and the labor day weekend. From the time I left for the federal government (drafted 1964) till Two years ago when I retired. There was not usually rain, or below average during any of that, except for where I was taking vacations. It was 90 degrees F or better. The usual cooling trend starts the month of October, then the fronts pushed down from canada, starting the fall rainy season. Remember we are in the middle plains. Not the high plains like denver, or the seaside areas like fort worth/oklahoma city. But to watch our weather people, spreading fear of climate warming, when CO2 is good for plants, for the food supply, and for you and me, cold is the bad boy, shorter growing season, less food for the table, starvation for you and me.
So we would pay more electricty, or is that because of the monopoly of electricty. Pay more for oil, anyone say monoply again, for food, not locally produced, monoply, fewer family farms, less competition, anyone say monoply again, and send it overseas, not processed at home? good for them not us.

  2. I'm pretty sure that mike was debunking the MAN made aspect of global warming.... NOT the overall fact that the globe IS warming. Use the right words please.

  3. Three questions:

    1. If 2012 is the warmest year on record in the US, how far back to records go?

    2. If 2012 is the warmest year on record in the US, how was the rest of the world? (I think Europe had an unusually cool and wet year, but I wasn't in Europe this year, so I can't say for sure.)

    3. If people really think global warming is caused by people where is the call for population control? Perhaps we should follow the Chinese model.

  4. The climate is going to change however it wishes regardless of what we microcosms known as humans do that should be obvious. We seem to forget we are a rock hurtling through space sometimes.

  5. Good point 9:02. It may be the ultimate in egotism for us to think we can change the climate.

  6. As a West Virginian, I am obligated to say that burning coal not only provides jobs, but its good for the environment.

This isn't really a problem for the Earth. It has been through worse and is still spinning.

While it is a bleak future for humans and other current dominant life forms, it's just another bump in the road for the Big Blue Marble.

I remember how the smartest-people-in-the-room would turn the Oklahoma territory into a breadbasket if they could just get those Indians out of the way.

What they produced was The Dust Bowl.

  10. The climate has changed all over the world since longer than man has been around and will continue to do so long after all of us are no longer living.

It amazes me how many common people who have no clue about climate and the history of it open their mouths every chance they get to speak utter bullshit about the subject.

  11. SuperPoopper, I'm sorry you couldn't tell I was being sarcastic.

But, then saying, 'Damn you are stupid' is pretty stupid.

BTW, You are a racist piece of shit.
