TKC DISCO FOR THE MONDAY MIDDAY!!!

Don't (mis)interpret too much in the lyrics, I just really like the beat, the chorus and basic sentiment about keeping things rolling AND the polyester suits . . .

The Whispers - And The Beat Goes On

More on the way . . .

Oh man he's back! With journalism that would make Walter Cronkite feel inadequate. Smell the COIN!

You get proper permission to use this video? Or just assuming information yearns to be free?

chuck said...

T, why are you not allowing comments regarding your retraction of Louie Wright?

Terms of Use said...

Please note that according to the settlement no disparaging of Mr. Wright on this blog is permitted in any way, shape or form!

Just thought I better toss that in for Tony.

Regular said...

Yah the small details are important unless one wants to find themselves in hot water again.

Anonymous said...

Fuck Louie Wright. Is that disparaging enough?

Anonymous said...

Read the details closely. Neither parties can talk bad about each other. It goes both was like a hot club chick.

Cease or we will be forced to turn you in to the appropriate authorities for further action.

Anonymous said...

The Stars already deleting disparaging comments this should be the gift that keeps on giving as far as entertainment value.

Anonymous said...

So can Tony be held accountable for disparaging comments here or does he just track down comment posters and send the list to any party who demands it? Details, details, details.

FACT CHECK said...

There is no moderator (even TKC apparently) on comments. They are protected by the Communications Decency Act (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communications_Decency_Act)

Anonymous said...

1:46 PM sure but that's why blogger provides a comment system that permits the administrator to screen and approve comments before posting. Might be wise to use it at this point.

Anonymous said...

Yeah I suppose even the N-Guy who posts on all the black posts and the sex pervert that posts here on the Tracy Ward posts is protected by the Communications Decency Act. Being it's free speech and all.

Anonymous said...

Tony wouldn't do that, 1:49. Screening requires work. Diligence. Checking details. He hasn't done those things before.

Of course, if he had done those things before, he wouldn't have that nice apology to Louie on the front page.

Tough gig sometimes Tony. I'm guessing that Finn's attorneys are taking notes? Louie by most accounts is a pretty good guy. I'm betting if you go back to your sources you'll find someone who had an axe to grind with him and just used you as their foil. Sucks.

Anonymous said...

In other words a work ethic, and toss in a dash of ethics and integrity. Problem is bottom dweller blogging doesn't require any of that. So I guess he'll have to raise his standards.

Anonymous said...

Probably never occurred to Tony he's being used.

The song is good. I think moving on might be the best thing. Good luck to you Tony. I think a lot of people don't give Tony enough credit for all of the work he does and what an incredible resource this blog is.

Usually the next step is something like this, Tony Botello charged with DWI (with mugshot). Hopefully he can transform himself into something other than the next basket case.

Anonymous said...

Maybe he can get a gig at The Star as a cub reporter. Beats being sued and the moneys at least steady.

Anonymous said...

Cub? John over at Bottom said he thinks "there is a huge need for people like Tony Botello. He writes more stories in one day than five journalists."

Of course one always has had a choice of top quality or content mill internet crap anyway so it doesn't make much difference.

Anonymous said...

Yes Associated Content is always looking for cube dwellers able to churn out fast shit riddled with
misinformation and typos. The turnover is incredibly high so that would explain the "huge need for people like".

Anonymous said...

if you were so unhappy with this blog you wouldn't be here. TKC blogs a lot of stuff that main-stream media doesn't and he mixes it up nicely.

Anonymous said...

bottom line is apparently another T suck-up; this blog has never turned out five stories in a day...oh, wait; you mean the information T takes from other news sites and rewrites as though he did the actual reporting?
those stories? hell this site is full of that crap...

Anonymous said...

Right on. More stuff!

Anonymous said...

If you want more stuff go to a carnival. Although this blog is starting to take on the appearance of a sideshow.

Anonymous said...

The days of scraping "free links" isn't going to last much longer either. Much less scraping stories for free stuff.

Did you know Matt Druge directs more traffic than Youtube.

And fuck what you know about the Internet HTML5 is setting us free.

If only you had half an idea about tech I would argue further.

Anonymous said...

no worries about that post only lasting 30 days: Google, the Wayback Machine and others have already scrped and archived it...

xalti said...

Way back machine? You think that really works?

No knowledge of websmaster tools and other scrubbing strategies?

So silly, you're showing ignorance. Get back to your cubicle.

Anonymous said...

...as well as downloading/saving the whole site, screen prints, et alis.

that post will always be available.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Xalti another obnoxious little snit who was probably still in diapers when some of us were on what might be called the Web HTML5 is setting us free ROTFFLMFAO.

Anonymous said...

It's easy to write more articles than five journalists when you don't source or verify.

Xalti we are waiting for your "expert" opinion. Oh maybe some "scrubbing tools" would work. ROFLMAO

xalti said...

You act like that settlement is a bad thing?

how much traffic do you think the little blog you set up is going to get?

Who cares?

Will this hurt Tony?

Does he give a fuck?

He's on a the front page of the Star today. Everybody on the blog is talking about his blog and I don't want to presume but I bet his traffic is through the roof. If Tony would follow my advice and come to the coast he would leave your shit town for a mid six figure job.

Sorry you don't realize it but you're Tony's best customers.

Sorry T. but I've been in meetings with you and I know how smart you are, it's just hard to watch these trolls act like they know something.

Anonymous said...

fuck, xalti said...

you're just another sock puppet.

and if you aren't, you're incedibly stupid to think tkc is smart.

xalti said...

I don't mind admitting that I'm Tony's friend who admires his site from afar. Tony already texted me to tell me to STFU. But here's a quote that we both enjoy -

"Who is the fool? The fool or the fool who follows him?"

Suck on that one.

Sorry T, had to get one last jab at these fools.

It is annoying the way bloggers throw out the Free Speech card knowing that what they were posting and reading is of other intent.

A journalist or blogger can not or should not make money posting baseless unverified claims with malicious intent to destroy the image or character of another individual and call it free speech.

This blog indeed publishes news every day while also publishing what seem to be clear paid take down pieces with the purpose of harassing an individual for a day and negatively affecting their image when googled in the future.

That is called defamation and the elected officials and anonymous commenters encouraging Tony to continue doing so, do so with the same clear intent.
