OPEN LETTER TO VOTERS, NEIGHBORS, AND FRIENDS
The Black Agenda Group is aggressive in our attempt to urge qualified citizens to become registered voters and to vote on election days.
We are witnessing a tragedy in our community with personal attacks against persons seeking public office. During the most recent election and previous ones, some individuals stooped so low as to personally attack individuals seeking to serve. We do realize that incivility in politics has become a problem in America.
The hostile and uncivil acts create violence, anger and utmost discourages citizens from desiring to enter as candidates or to vote during elections. The individuals performing these acts also included registered committees who are guilty of the unnecessary tactics and who evidently did not see the value of people seeking public office. This is borderline hatred against humanity in our community and therefore is a sick and perverted way to deal with candidates. We should all be civil enough to evaluate candidates by their records, platforms and commitment to service in our community and beyond. A Civility Pledge among candidates, voters and the general public is most likely the only way to resolve this sad dilemma.
Hopefully, individuals and committees who performed these acts will be embarrassed to think that we as a people can’t elect people who can represent the best interests of our community. Climb back under your rock if you think this type of incivility in politics is acceptable.

It really took alot of courage for the Black Agenda Group to step out of their "Vote Black" box and call for Obama to cease all of the vicious personal attacks against his opponent and focus solely on his own past disasterous record.
Some of these posters are unfuckingbelievable. A black person can post all manor of attacks, both racial and general, against white people and it's considered just fine and their "right" to vent. On the other hand, should a white person take the same leave and refute or rebut such a post and immediately, he/she is classified as a dyed-in-the-wool racist and terrible person. When and why did black people become so wise and their words considered as gospel?? Whenever it happened, this double standard does nothing but further separate the races.
