TWO HURT in this South East Side shooting as local politicos remain more concerned about their career path until Tuesday . . .
Authorities with the Kansas City Police Department said the shooting happened at 69th Street and Prospect Avenue.
KCPD Crime Stats reveal that we're at 60 murders so far this year which is a slight decrease in the number of homicides at this time last year . . . Then again, the weather has been really horrible.

ReplyDeleteDear Mr. Tony: We are now at 61 homicides for 2012--compared to 62 at this point last year. Breaking the homicide totals down by race, one notices an interesting pattern in the years since 2007: Homicides for blacks are up significantly since 2007, homicides for other races are down--right now we are at 45 black homicides for 2012 vs. 15 for other races--at this point in 2007 we were at 35 black homicides and 20 for other races.
