FULL OF MITT!!! KANSAS CITY GOP 2012 CONVENTION COVERAGE LINK DUMP!!!

This one has been brewing for awhile because I wanted to think of what really defined the GOP Convention from the vantage point of Kansas City, Missouri.
Just a few quick observations . . .
- Heaping praise upon minorities who say agreeable things doesn't really represent diversity. In fact, it's really just another form of tokenism.
- The convention against Prez Obama FAILED to convince people who didn't already hate Prez Obama. Preaching to the choir is fun but essentially pointless.
- Other than putting a white guy with GREAT HAIR back in charge . . . Did anybody understand HOW the GOP was going to make things better? Seriously, I missed any kind of real explanation of HOW things are gonna get better other than the fact that voting for people who hate the Prez and speaking mostly in cliché will make the applause button activate.
- Finally, we're seeing that GOP voter turnout is now in question given that the bland are leading the bland.
More to the point . . .
Political theater is mostly bad theater and it's always interesting to watch Americans mistakenly believe they have a choice in deciding their fate that's now mostly dictated by Asian markets.
NOW GET A WHIFF OF MY GOP 2012 CONVENTION LINK DUMP!!!

Good Sir, I disagree!
- "Heaping praise upon minorities who say agreeable things doesn't really represent diversity. In fact, it's really just another form of tokenism. "
Total bullshit.
Total fuckin bullshit.
Straight to the front of the line horseshit reaction when ANY minority agrees with an unpopular liberal position.
The unspoken assumption that evey minority in the US, MUST by way of skin color, agree with the entitlement culture that has destroyed those same monorities over the last 6 decades.
A proof of a negative line of bullshit that is part and parcel of the liberal narrative which under any scrutiny is as diaphanous as what I just wiped my ass with.
The usual astonishing lack of substantive commentary aimed at polarization and affective response in the face of unpleasant facts.
What 6:39 said.....and I might add that as an Independent voter who voted for Obama last time, I heard plenty. What I heard without the partisan earplugs was that this man earned the respect of all who worked, worshiped and lived with him. That should never be discounted or brushed off as unimportant. A snake oil salesman is charming and entertaining but he is selling you worthless product, much like the hope and change Obama sold us last time. I think it was very clear what Romney intends to do to create jobs and it is also very clear that he has done it before successfully. I know this is impossible for blind partisan followers to do but if you are honest you have to admit that in most ways Romney is the better man and is far more prepared to help the poor than Obama is. So, you can take your Obama money and flashy promises and do what Clint said.
Oh 6:50, how I wish I could have said it better. I can't. Rave on!!!!
As a 1st generation American born and Latino, what I heard struck a cord with me. It reminded me that when I was a kid all I ever heard was how lucky my parents felt to have the opportunity to live in the U.S. What I never heard was that they came here to be supported by the government or by the rich people's money. Having a chance to earn their own way and make a better life was enough. I don't want my people to become part of the crowd that feels being a minority means you are a dependent of the government. I want my children to be leaders and successful and that's not all about money. Pride, respect and family honor is not to be taken lightly. I don't think Mitt Romney came by his wealth through anything other than hard work and he has given back plenty. I respect him. If I hear allot of pandering and promises of something for nothing at the next convention, my mind will be made up. That's not going to solve anything but it will appeal to the worst in us. In honor of my Mother and my Father, I will never forget that.
Show me someone that does not celebrate Rubio and Martinez clearly climbing the ranks of the Republican party, then I will show you someone that cares more about political parties and self serving opinions. I hope hispanics and republicans are able to find more common ground before the democrats turn hispanics into entitlement free loaders and the republicans get run over by democrats promising wealth from the treasury.
Sooo Republicans be damned if they open up the tent to diversity...and be damned if they don't.
It amazes me that Hispanics don't vote Republican already.
All those Mexicans I have worked with over the last 30 years on and off construction sites work their fuckin (I can't say this strongly enough), I mean their FUCKIN ASSES off!!
They are, at least as I can tell, Catholic Church goin family folks with a work ethic that is next to NONE!!
The culture is great. The food is great. The chicks are hot.
Don't get me wrong, I think LEGAL immigration from out southern neighbors is important, but if ya had to choose any country in the world for neighbors, we lucked out pretty good with Canada and Mexico.
I even like the stupid Mexican MTV channel. It's an upper, really.
I think they are Republicans and just havn't figured it out yet.
JMO
I'm kinda hungry for La Fonda now.
Republicans didn't let any facts stand in the way of a good story. Of course the Democrats will do the same next week.
And to 6:50 who said, "[Romney] earned the respect of all who worked, worshiped and lived with him... ," I say (1) this is impossible and (2) do you really think anyone who didn't claim Romney to be the Second Coming would be allowed anywhere near the convention?
I'm not sure what 6:39 is saying, but if it's that both parties are feeding us a line of bullshit, I agree.
8:44. I haven't seen anyone in those three groups come forward to challenge his fidelity and famiily values, his work ethic or his committment to his church, have you? I said all and you are right no one is loved and appreciated by all so I stand corrected but even his detractors admit those testimonials were credible and a reasonable person should give him that.
9:20: He may be a good family man who doesn't fool around and is committed to his church. None of those things matter to me in a President. (And I suspect Obama is also a good family man who doesn't fool around, although I'm not sure about the church business.) I don't know about Romney's work ethic, but I do know his income from Bain was and is taxed at the capital gains rate of 15% and that he doesn't pay into Social Security or Medicare because this income is not classifed as earned income. It's all legal, of course, and I'm sure he'll do his best to keep it that way for him and the others in the 1%. The rest of us who get paid wages and salary pay an automatic nondeductible 5.65% for Social Security and Medicare, and that is before we start paying our income taxes. (If you're self-employed, double that.)
I also know Romney has somehow amassed $21 million in an IRA, which is interesting since the maximum annual contributions to an IRA are $6,000 and you're supposed to have income from wages or salaries to contribute. Maybe you know enough about this to explain?
AAAHhahahahahahaha!!!! YOUR NIGGER BOY BE GONE IN NOVEMBER, THEN JUST ANOTHER NIGGER.
I think 10:06 summed up the Republican position. This is all they have cared about for nearly four years. They obstructed, so they could claim that nothing was accomplished.
I can't believe someone said Romney cares about the poor. Yeah right.
What will they say when they lose?
'Lock & Load' & 'Let's take back our country'
As a Mormon Bishop did Romney ever preside over "proxY' Mormon Baptism of the dead.
The worst you have to say about him is he's rich and you are not? Boy, that's a sentiment in this country I hope is put to an end. It's dumb and not productive. You miss the part about how much the 15% equals or the charitable donations that are relative in size to the ability to give. You want everyone poor? Because they sure won't be richer if this class warefare is a success. I want to be rich. I won't ever be rich but I want to be and I'm willing to set that as a goal and work hard enough to get a little closer each year. I need a job (or two) to do that. I can ignore the jobs situation if I focus on hating people who create jobs. Maybe I won't expect someone to actually do something about it while I'm distracted. If its all the same to you I will keep admiring big houses and fancy cars and dream about being rich- it makes me work harder. Go ahead and use your energy trying to take their money like a thief. I just prefer my way.
Byron - Obama did not start giving to the poor until he ran for president. before that he gave 1% of his income to charity. Romney give 15% whetehr he is running for president or not. I trust the guy that gives his own money to the poor a lot more than the guy that gives my money to the poor. The Obama's are not generous and they do not care about the poor. When measured by charitable giving, Romney blows them out of the water on this point. that is fact...not opinion.
TKC's Mommy told him he was a Democrat and he has just gone with it. Suprisingly he has never made the connection of the Democratic Party and the woes of this City. Democrats ruling the minorities in KCMO is 21st Century slavery.
Nobody ever called themselves Hispanic, it's a name that was made up by the Nixon Administration. That's how authentic last night was.
Huh... How about the fact that romney belongs to a cult.
Cult? The fucking Catholic Church IS a cult.
growing up the brothers called themselves the N-word. During the Democratic convention they will stand together to demonize anyone who uses the N-word then walk backstage and say- N-word, you did a good job out there.
nigger boy obama is the same color as my TURD! libs love that.
Who is Oprah Winfrey for this time?
10:46: I have no beef with Romney's being rich. I'm interested in how he got that way. I've been pretty dilligent about my IRA, but I sure don't have $21 mil in it.
How'd he do that?
6:28- I don't know the answer to that but you can bet if it was illbegotten money we would know about it. After all, the focus of an entire party and media is on it.
I think the guy is squeaky clean and all this jabbering is just hot air.
If you had to hand over every dime you have to one person and your family depended on that person, would you give it to Obama or Romney? Be honest. Who's gonna pad your IRA? Same about running the company that pays your salary, which one? Party politics aside, I'd go with Romney over Obama every time. I don't care if gays marry, let them. I don't care about guns or abortions. I care about two things, jobs and preserving what this country stands for. All things weighed and considered on those two priorities, Romney is the best choice. Obama alternates between pandering to people and then preaching to them but his actions speak volumes about his desire to weaken people and strengthen government. Hillary Clinton was a much better candidate but slick talk won out over substance. Now we have to change and he needs to go.
Obviously you will vote for Romney. I doubt he is squeaky clean, but I guess we'll find out in the next couple of months. As for alternating views, the joke about Romney is he asks Santa Claus what he (Romney) should want for Christmas.
I'd prefer a second Obama term if for no other reason than we'd have a president who won't be running for re-election, but at least either will be better than Bush. Even Jeb said he loved his brother and left it at that.
I'd still like to know how he got his IRA. If you just look at the math involved, it seems impossible.
Second terms are when they really stick it to us because they have nothing to lose. A friend of mine plans to vote for Obama for President and all Republicans for Congress and Senate hoping to cause a gridlock so nothing further can be done to hurt his business. Not sure whether he was joking or not. As for Bush, yes, I caught the Jeb dance. Every party has their rock stars and less successful leaders, I think Obama is the latter. I think Clinton was the best in my lifetime on the D side. Better than Kennedy. Obama is no where near a Clinton and may be the worst in my lifetime. I won't ever vote for the worst candidate because of party affiliation. They have to do better.
