There are those who claim that Freedom Inc. is no longer able to bring votes or influence to Kansas City Elections.
That sentiment always neglects to mention or ask . . . WHO WOULD REPLACE FREEDOM INC.???
On the Eastside there's a political struggle between Freedom Inc. & Pac 20 . . . Last night Freedom's list of endorsements prove they still maintain a GREAT DEAL of influence and DOMINATE the political discourse on Kansas City's Eastside.

"Freedom Inc had a great day yesterday. That organization is thriving under new leadership. Their candidates won big, crushing the PAC 20 slate of Jackie McGee, Dwon Littlejohn and Erik Stafford. They also helped Jason Holsman defeat Crystal Williams and helped the Mayor defeat the KC STAR. Their State Rep candidates, Brandon Ellington, Randy Dunn, and Bonnaye Mims all had landslide victories. Pac 20 stays losing."
Thanks to a TKC TIPSTER for bringing this important comment to my attention and maybe realigning perspectives of those who exaggerate the demise of Freedom Inc. and their enduring legacy of Kansas City Eastside Voting Activism.

Who would replace them? Just another group who would sell out their friends and family in exchange for money and power. Of course that defines all political parties and groups.
Freedom Inc is a sellout,nobody wanted their ballot.
Freedom could be replaced by a small mechanical dog. And they typically race in after an election to claim success for all of "their" candidates.
Are they also willing to take credit for what the east side has become?
And what really happens to all that money?

Again Brandon Ellington is not a Freedom candidate he was just endorsed... by them jut like the unions.

What a joke, Freedom usually picks the candidate with the most money, and the candidate usually wins. They pick them because they can afford to pay Freedom. Freedom is the tail, not the dog. Look at the races where the candidate with the most money refused to give Freedom a dime, like Judy Morgan. She still won by a landslide, even though Freedom backed her opponent out of revenge.
The Freedom Inc. endorsed candidate, Sarah Gillooly did not do so hot.
Again, if Brandon Ellington was not a Freedom candidate: why were his poll workers wearing Freedom T-shirts and why was he in the Freedom Voter's guide mailed to over 10000 households in the Freedom wards and why did Freedom pay his workers and why was he in the Freedom motorcade/parade? If Brandon or his mother are making these posts disavowing Freedom or any connection to Freedom, they should have the courage to say the same to the Freedom leadership team. If he wasn't a Freedom candidate he sure acted like one. Again If Brandon or his mother are now distancing themselves from Freedom don't be anonymous and duplicitous hypocrites.
5:59, Sarah Gillooly did not run in Freedom wards. She was endorsed because she was the smartest and best candidate. There was nothing the Freedom machine could do to help her because her district is entirely west of Troost.

The only time Freedom's candidates or issues win is when that corrupt organization happens to side with winners. Freedom has absolutely nothing to do in picking or supporting winners. Their influence was decimated years ago and now the entire organization is a train wreck. They can't deliver pizzas, let alone votes. Just ask Jim Rowland who paid them $50k and got zilch for it.
Yeah, white candidates with a Freedom endorsement are a tough sell against a popular black candidates (who don't have it) East of Troost, so the Rowland comment doesn't really hold water. Try black on black or white on white 6:19. Shows how little you really know about ANYTHING political in KC.
Freedom stays winning by choosing quality candidates. Freedom stays winning by working hard. Freedom stays winning by organizing. Freedom stays winning by focusing on values not money and power. Freedom stays winning by sticking to the plan. Freedom stays winning by winning.
I am a member of Team Ellington and we were not in Freedom shirts we were in Brandons shirts. The folks that Fredom hired wore Fredom shirts. Get your story straight. It is a well known fact Team Ellington refused to wear or have anything to do with FREEDOM INC. As it is now.
This was not the same old Freedom.
Clinton and all of Freedom Inc. did a great job working and organizing Freedom Wards in this election. Freedom took a stand on values and their candidates won the freedom wards.

Pat Clarke ward is not "freedom.inc" ward and neither is "Roland" she beat the socks of Kelly.. Freemdon is toast.
Seeing the words "Clinton" and "values" in the same sentence has to be the biggest joke of the entire campaign.
The same old grifters have destroyed the east side and will continue to operate and suck the life out of everything and everyone until the community has had enough and shows them the door.

So who will speak out to save their community?
If the east side is suddenly so "politically active", just how many votes TOTAL were cast this time around in the Third District?
In the last mayoral race the total was 5000 in a district with over 60,000 residents.

True, for years Freedom had the committee seats on lock down so they could keep their political families in power and the community ignorant. People didn't know they had committeeman/woman cause elected officals are holding the position so they can control the voters & special elections. Cindy Circo.Terry Riley,Kikki Curls,Gail Beatty.Carol Coe.Rosa JamesCraig Bland & wife,Judy&Gene Morgan just to name a few. Hard word payed off.

Fact is whether you want to admit it or not, Freedom played a decisive role in the passage of Questions 1 and 2. They did what they set out to do.
Yes ,Freedom sold the community out on question 1 & 2 so what's new. Is that what they set out to do?
I have to hand it to Freedom, not everyone they are associated with is as corrupt as they are. A lot of people actually run clean campaigns and Freedom Inc just so happens to get behind them. Charles Hazley isn't like Pat Clarke, many of the Curls family or Clinton Adams, Hazley is not one to be for dirty campaigns. Freedom Inc does not guarantee victory for anyone. Byron Buford has done a good amount of work for them and he lost his seat, but Rosa James won her seat and she has done fine work in the community. Cleaver was going to win without help from Freedom, and his work in the community has gone without question. Crystal Williams might have won if there wasn't so much controversy late in her campaign, Jason Holsman just lucked out. Mike Sharp has kept his position for a long time, he didn't really need Freedom to put his name on the ballots for a victory. Bonnaye Mims was going to win without Freedom Inc behind her, she has a wide range of supporters in the community and has done fine out in that area. Brandon Ellington had a good chance of winning and I didn't see any of his poll workers wearing Freedom shirts, neither did I see any of Mims poll workers wearing anything but Mims shirts. Lets not forget that years ago when she ran against Michael Brown, that was a close race, if not for Freedom Inc, Mims would already have the house seat. And as Freedom did with Judy Morgan, they backed Brown's opposition the next election, and I highly doubt Mims gave them any money for their support like Jim Rowland did with his 50k. Ellington had a good chance of winning but his mother sealed his fate, the way she dresses and her attitude sabotaged her sons campaign.
Shame on Cleaver, Sharp and Mims if they gave Freedom Inc a dime of money to help with their campaigns! They all have a history of dominant performances at the election polls, they did NOT need Freedom's endorsements or assistance. Naturally you would not hear Clinton Adams or anyone else from Freedom Inc say that. They don't profess in giving outsiders their due credit. They only know how to take credit for the hard work of others, try to sabotage the persons name, or back that persons opponent in the next election to punish them if the get elected and don't push forward Freedom's agenda. Cleaver, Mims, Sharp WATCH OUT!!!!

Some of you people are idiots. Airick West is a sellout, true, but he didn't sellout for money. He wasn't smart enough to sellout for money, instead he sold out for power that he NEVER received. So I strongly doubt he would be smart enough to form a team with the equally idiotic Eric Wesson just to comment on a blog about the corruption that is Freedom Inc, Pat Clarke and his 12 children and the classlessness of Ellingtons mom with the hoochie momma clothes and tattoos everywhere that ruined his campaign. I doubt either one of them is smart enough to do that, much less smart enough to use a computer. lol.
Well considering what Airick did to our school district, I hope he stays as far away from a desk, a computer and a board room as humanly possible!
I was out voting on Tuesday and I didn't see any of Ellington's people wearing Freedom t shirts. I didn't see too many of the usual faces of "Freedom" Inc out doing any hard work. The poll workers were out working like slaves in the hot sun, while the usual suspects of Freedom were lounging comfortably inside of air conditioned buildings and/or vehicles. I had a great conversation with a few poll workers and we both over heard (from a former poll worker that formerly worked for Freedom) how Freedom Inc has a history of not wanting to pay its poll workers their due when the election comes to close. The people of Freedom were only out when it came to complaining that not enough of their material was being handled out to us, or that the poll workers weren't wearing their t-shirts. They only control the minds and votes of people in our community whom don't pick up a newspaper or pay attention to our local politics to know who to vote for.
For Christ's sake just watch the news and pay attention to our community when you go down the street! That is more than enough evidence that Freedom doesn't do anything for us. I do however like some of the people they have gotten behind over the last few years, I just don't know how they endorsed such people and want to take the credit for those other persons hard work. Freedom could be replaced by any local union, group of teachers or school board, because they do diddley squat for KC!
