TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY SMALL BIZ GETS NOTHING FROM THE ALL-STAR GAME!!!

The Kansas City hype machine for the MLB All-Star game is in full gear and every aspect of this wicked little town seems to be on the same corporate sponsorship page.
Still, there's a bit of economic disparity that needs to be put on blast.
RECENTLY A KANSAS CITY POLITICAL INSIDER NOTED, "THE EFFORTS OF MAYOR JAMES TO INCORPORATE SMALL BUSINESS INTO THE ALL-STAR GAME PROMOTIONS HAVE BEEN TOTALLY LACKLUSTER. THIS IS AN ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY THAT HAS BEEN SQUANDERED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL. THEY OBVIOUSLY AREN'T THINKING ABOUT THE LITTLE GUY."
Clearly, this Kansas City political insider makes an important case for this town's small biz.
Think about it:
Most of the hype is centered around bar districts and corporate attractions.
There's almost no real effort to attract tourists and their cash into Kansas City's neighborhoods.
With the All-Star game and most everything else . . . Mayor Sly and City Council seemed focused on working for the best interests of the local elite rather than considering residents and small biz that often don't hold political influence.
DEVELOPING . . .

So you are saying we should spend money to get random tourists to visit shitty shops and restaurants in neighborhoods? Right.
Let's promote businesses at 31st and Troost.
agreed
Political insiders take themselves far too seriously, and so do you, Tony.
Actually I agree with this. As usual the city picked the areas they wanted to promote and left everyone else out in the cold.
