TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! TAKING ANOTHER GOOD LOOK AT THE JACKSON COUNTY'S SHERIFF'S RACE!!!



Obviously, we don't expect our Jackson County politicos to be as good looking as Jordan Carver pretending to be a law enforcement lady.

Still . . . We have collected a few candid photos in order for voters to get a sense of the candidates beyond mere campaign marketing.

Let's take a look . . .



Incumbent Jackson County Sheriff Mike Sharp is certainly the most politically connected of all the candidates and he has the support of Kansas City's Democratic Party elite. Here's Sheriff Sharp hanging out with former Kansas City 6th District Council Dude Chuck Eddy. Like it or not, Eddy is still a power player in the local political scene where he hosts a great many fundraisers for non-profits and the arts that also serve as the most effective networking events for hopeful politicos.



George R. Poletis is seen here in his office and STRANGELY REFUSING TO SMILE. He was a former member of KCPD and most recently served as Police Chief of Lake Lotawana, Missouri. He's running a upstart campaign based mostly on his law enforcement experience.



And now take a look at Dwon Littlejohn . . . He's the youngest of the candidates for Sheriff and his campaign has focused on talking to voters in virtually every forum in Kansas City. Mr. Littlejohn has been tireless in talking to voters across Jackson County about law enforcement issues. This photo taken at a recent Downtown KC protest with the 99% offers just a bit of proof that Mr. Littlejohn is willing to talk with voters on the streets of Kansas City and anywhere else.

There's a lot of inside baseball in this race for Jackson County Sheriff but I thought this quick post was simply a way to get a look at the candidates in different facets of their campaign that aren't always easily accessible to the voting public . . . All 12 of us.

    Mike Sharp will win this by well over 50%. These other two folks are carrying some serious baggage, particularly from their previous law enforcement employment. Is it really a good idea to elect someone to a law enforcement position who couldn't be hired by the police?
    After all, you would be giving them lots of authority over regular citizens...and a gun!

    Mr. Poletis and Mr. Sharp have experience, but the kid in this race is running around telling people the Sheriff's job is not about Law Enforcement. I can't see the point of electing a civilian to a police job and loosing an entire police department in this high crime era. The race comes down to Mr. Poletis and Mr. Sharp.

    Facts about Poletis

    Fired from Prairie Village PD for hitting his parter (a woman), after he had been disciplined for beating teenagers.

    Fired from KCPD for lying about his residency and I believe that his wife got in trouble with the Social Security Administration for BS-ing disability.

    Numerous complaints about thuggery and such in Lake Lotawana.

    Essentially not employable by any real police department.

    Seems like a perfect fit for Sheriff of some redneck county...ummm maybe he IS a good fit for Jackson County.

    From a supporter, have JJ go after the persons stealing Littlejohn signs. Littlejohin has been reporting on his Facebook page that his signs have been coming up missing for months. I wonder if Sharp can say that? The latest sign missing or damaged was witnessed by liquor store employees in midtown and shows two white guys and one black guy driving a white truck taking the sign. Be careful who you accuse, I think all the candidates know the costs of signs and don't want to have signs missing.
