A few KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS are follwoing a Kansas City neighborhood controversy and offer a bit of detail about an upcoming Sunday revelation.
One tipsters in particular is riled up about this situation. Here's what he says:
"Tomorrow Father John Vowells of St. Francis Xavier will announce to his parishioners that the Diocesan plans for a new Catholic Residence Hall will go on. This is in spite of what the diocesan chancellor, Jude Huntz, told a gathering recently.
"There is a planning commission meeting in mid-July where this will be discussed. Neighborhood and parish opposition remains strong.
Real estate development in Kansas City is always a struggle but given the recent controversy regarding the Catholic Hierarchy this struggle seems to be even more tense.
Here's another quote from another party familiar with the situation:
"If only the Bishop spent as much time thinking about protecting children from pedophiles as he spends on his plans to spread right-wing ideology. It's no secret why he chose to punish the city's most liberal parish."
This kind of sentiment is commonplace throughout the community and demonstrates the lasting toll of the current sex scandal on Kansas City Catholics.

I know I might have mentioned this before, but I have lost all respect for the Catholic Church in general and for this boob of a bishop in particular. I remember when he was installed. We all laughed out loud and shook our heads with incredulity. This guy is such a goof, he was running the newspaper in St. Louis, and he wasn't doing much of a job at that! This Church has no credibility left! And now, take a look at who the Pope put in to run the Holy Office: Satan himself!!!! The Church is doomed!!!!

Actually, 3:11, running people out of a building you own and program is easy. It's all internal.
But shoving a development down the throats of an unwilling parish pulls the general public into the picture. And they will not be so easily cowed.

Finn stays in power because he does the work of two European Fascists: Karol (Polack Karl) Wojtyła Joseph (Joey the Rat) Ratzinger. This movement hates individual liberty and is a vanguard party designed to initiate a revolution from above and to organize the nation upon fascist principles. They like guys like Finn.
In an effort to court the votes and financial contributions from the exceedingly stupid people who buy into Cathlo-Fascist superstitious dogma, American politicians aid the evil aims of these fascists among us. It is the same as all religion, but a bit more so.

I think that this building controversy is just being used as an excuse to tell a liberal parish, " you WILL do what I say!"
And I advise the liberals that if you withold your contributions in retaliation, it won't make any difference to him. He just wants you gone and will stop at nothing to get rid of you. He did that at the Cathedral.
Why would anyone feel the need to go to any place of worship?

I just knew he would find a way to force the idea on everyone, and if he is using tax dollars....we better find out. This is a farce and a debacle, there has been no transparency since the plans were allowed to be seen by the neighborhood. Why all the secrets and why all the contradictions? ....Yes, No...tall building, smaller building.... SFX move out of the school, SFX sorry no building....what is the deal with the cloudy vision...if I was not opposed to the ugly building meant to house right wing students, I would still wonder why the whole process is contorted.
It's not a real parish, and hasn't been for a generation.
The grounds are a good location for the project. There's no legitimate reason for opposition. The school closed, and then the charter school closed, and the grounds should be used for something.
In fact, not only is there no good reason for opposition, the neighborhood would benefit. UMKC long ago made the decision to look west rather than east, and Rockhurst has moved east and ignored its western edge. Something needs to happen to bring life to Troost. And having a few students living there seems as good a place to start as any.
I am in the neighborhood and I don't oppose the development, in fact there were some really great things in the plan like the community service program and having RAs means there will be some supervision at all times so it won't become Animal House like some of the fraternities. The only problem for me is the parking and that can and should be fixed by the developer - but the diocese has acted in such a arrogant and suspicious way that I am worried.
I don't know if you are aware or not, but SFX is a JOKE and has been a JOKE for 30 years. The Jesuits, once "God's Army", destroyed SFX a generation ago with their unbridled Marxist/Progressive agenda. Reap what you sow.

Of course, if the church is going to purge liberals, the least they could do is leave the poor neighborhood alone.
