It's a big play for the Kansas City Council dude . . . And I'm not even sure if Transportation and Infrastructure Chair Russ Johnson is in town . . . This could be a power play from Council Dude Glover to get his share of the toy train glory.
Take a look at the ordinance THANKS TO KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS who are more concerned about TRANSPARENCY than mediocre baseball. ORDINANCE NO. 120603 sacrifices a lot for the sake of the proposed street car THAT DID NOT GET FEDERAL FUNDING.
"Estimating revenue in the amount of $1,340,000.00; appropriating that amount from the Capital Improvement Fund to the Downtown Street Car System for preliminary engineering for a downtown circulator system; and recognizing an emergency."
You read that right . . . It's an EMERGENCY!!!

A light rail line in Kc was an emergency in 1990. Now its just another crippling lack of modern ammenities, as we watch smaller, equally spread out cities like Cincy and OKC and Charlotte and Tucson invest in their cores.
