Kind of pathetic considering it's 2012 and this is some kind of new, bright idea. Be excited be be excited.
ReplyDeleteBetter than not collaborating, but 7:23pm is right. When it's a big deal when the mayor, police chief, and prosecutor hold a joint press conference to announce working together and IT'S THE FIRST TIME IN FIFTEEN YEARS they've done that, you can see just how far in the hole we're strating from. Maybe if we work really hard at it, the next time someone from the police board will be able to join them.
ReplyDeleteThese are just not serious people when it comes to public safety.
KCMO is a state controlled PD and has been for so many years. Is the content of this story a good thing? Yes! But if I was the Chief, I wouldn't make it a press release that my organization was finally doing something so obviously a freak'n good idea that it's embarrassing that they weren't doing it before under a board of persons appointed by the freak'n Governor. We might as well take local control over because obviously in the post Pendergast era, this state board of appointees is doing nothing more than (fill in the gap).
ReplyDeleteAnother KCPD SNFU.
