They can't even solve day to day crime. Not to mention that most of the cops themselves are crooks. Not very comforting, sending in the Fox to watch the chicken house.

I spent 30 years on KCPD. The majority of the police and civilians are good, moral, hard-working people. Yes, there are some bad apples and they need to be weeded out, just like any other group. Thank you. You may crucify me now.
Of course the Chief and his top commanders think that the dept is ready for this week. It's easy to say that when you don't really have any grasp on how things are on the streets or in patrol. Allowing vacation days for officers to work the all star game is putting the rest of the patrol officers in danger this week as staffing levels which are already depleted, will be even thinner. Don't expect timely responses to 911 calls as blackout times are going to be as bad as they've ever been
It's not like he's gonna say "we have no fucking idea what we are doing". Are they really prepared? What if a plane takes off from the downtown airport and wants to fly into the stadium? They gonna shoot it down? No fucking way. These idiots can't even pick the dingleberries out of their asses. KCMOPD makes the F Troop look like The Untouchables.
Most of the Police officers have spent over 30 years on the department, and they become part of the culture of corruption, they don't know any different, they worked there all their lives. They don't seem themselves as part of the problem rather than the solution. They were raised on corruption and it has become ingrained in them.
Has Chief Jughead even bothered to go to ANY shift briefing at all? No, he hasn't.
