Basketball is the start of a lot of killings. Young men get physical playing ball and then escalate the violence.
I'm sorry, I didn't see the Sheriff or any police officials there...
As usual the TV stations covered an event and not the whole story and bloggers can only pick up from there. The basketball event was just a chance for neighborhood folks, mostly young men, to get together, play some ball, and mmet some community leaders who are actually working to get residents to meet, understand, and work more both together and with the police. And the majority of residents working with the police to curb the minority of thugs in the community is the only way the violence is ever going to be curbed.
This group is a coalition of over 70 organizations and public safety is just one of their many issues and services they provide. More folks whould become involved.
By the way, Chief Forte' was there, so obviously that comment isn't accurate.
Using basketball to keep NIGGERS from killing themselves and innocent humans? How about using golf to stop war??
