Two ways to pay your cab ride: Cash or Credit
While this move is a benefit to Yellow Cab and thwarts their local gypsy cab competition . . . It also helps consumers and keeps pain-in-the-ass tourists from riding with The Bone Collector . . . Or something.
This has more to do with keeping out the small company. Cabs could easily post "cash only" on the side of the car.
ReplyDeleteCredit card companies are the most unethical business' in the country and our city council just mandated their use.
Taxicab ridership is on the rise because of the credit card offerring. Customers love it andleave me better tips. My company City Cab has a great device where the passenger just swipes the card themself and it is okd in less than 30 seconds with reciept. Drivers who refuse crdit cards are ideiots and the city should thrw them out.
