It is common for the case to go up to the day that the trial is supposed to start and then a plea deal is worked out. I predict that this is what will happen in this case.
ReplyDeleteFinn will plead nolo contendere and get probation. The Church wants this case to GO AWAY!
The diocese is in bad financial shape. The Cathedral website is showing that the Cathedral (the Bishop's church) is running a $112,000 deficit for the fiscal year.
People are responding the only way that they can in the Catholic Church... withholding money.
I know that they wish the Ratigan case would go away too, but they don't have any control over him.Every time that Ratigan is mentioned in the media, more salt is rubbed into the wound.
They're innocent and unfairly persecuted! They are only doing GOD's work, I know!!!!

Maybe THEN he'll "get it".
