Jason Kander Releases Campaign’s First Web Ad: “Courage”

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jason Kander today released the first web ad of his campaign to be Missouri’s next Secretary of State. The ad titled Courage can be viewed online at www.jasonkander.com.

The biographical ad highlights Kander’s military service, details his relentless efforts to reform Missouri’s ethics laws and talks about the values he’ll bring to the Secretary of State’s office.

“As I travel throughout the state, I meet Missourians everyday who, like me, are tired of partisan political games and the latest poll-driven wedge issues. Missouri voters want to know if their leaders have the courage to do what’s right and stand up against powerful interests,” Kander said. “This new ad tells a little bit about where I come from, why I decided to serve my state and country, and what values I’ll take with me to the Secretary of State’s office.”

Kander has received support from all corners of the state, out raising all of his Republican opponents combined. Because of the strong start to his campaign, Kander now holds a more than $400,000 cash on hand advantage over his nearest opponent in the Secretary of State’s race.

Jason Kander is a State Representative from Kansas City and previously served in the Army National Guard. As a military intelligence officer in the Army Reserve, Kander volunteered in 2006 for deployment and served in Afghanistan. In 2010, he was one of ten soldiers selected as national finalists for Army Reserve Outstanding Junior Officer of the Year. Rep. Kander currently serves on the Missouri Veterans Commission. Kander is a lawyer and lives with his wife Diana in Kansas City.

  6. Full or part-time. They volunteered for it. That's the great thing about America, 100% volunteer army. There's never been a military person who's ever run for office who hasn't played up their service.

Better than holding a grudge the rest of their lives against the 99% who didn't. That's just as much bullshit crying as any.

    critics need to be consistent.

Was he a war criminal or a part timer hero?

    Can you do both?

Where do I sign up to torture people part time?

    More likely it's all bullshit.

  8. They all do volunteer. Active duty don't go home after a weekend of practice.
Kandar is showboating a limited experience. SAND WAS STILL IN MY GEAR WHEN WE GOT ORDERS TO GO BACK... AGAIN.
Take a bow Kandar then keep the faith with the active duty.

  10. Part time or not he did more for his country than 99 44/100 percent of those deadbeats now serving in
    D.C. and thats a fact.

  11. He has to play up the Army thing because he is afraid that Missouri Lutherans, Baptists and Catholics will never vote for a Jew.

He really does not want the state to know he is a Jew, so he never mentions it.

    So do not tell anyone.

Just talk about how he was in the Army but what he actually did in the Army is very classified. Sorry. If we knew, terrorists will win.
