Here's a rather cruel example of the constant FAIL that Kansas City must endure because of the Royals front office.
A rather AWESOME TKC TIPSTER ALERTS us . . .
"Apparently, the Royals asked a lady to sing the National Anthem at Friday's game. She sent a CD as a formality. After reviewing the CD, today they uninvited her. This lady got the news as she was in bed on chemotherapy - She was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer."
I'm not posting the lady's name because it's up to her if she wants to go public with the story. However I was able to confirm her identity. Turns out the very brave woman has been fighting to survive cancer for 11 YEARS!!!
Here is her Facebook update regarding the latest disappointment at the hands of the Royals.
OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A MAJOR LEAGUE SCREW-UP BY THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS!!! IF THEY CAN'T KEEP A SIMPLE PROMISE TO A WOMAN WITH CANCER, I'M CONVINCED THAT THEY'LL NEVER MAKE MUCH ACHIEVE MUCH SUCCESS ON THE BASEBALL FIELD UNDER THE CURRENT MANAGEMENT!!!

ReplyDeleteThis story is horrible and I am friends with the woman involved. Thank you for not sharing her name. You are right, she is very brave and courageous and the Royals should have done right by her.
