They won't throw you in jail for tickets. At the very least you will have to spend one night if you get picked up on your traffic warrants. If you can't bond out, the judge will release you in the morning on a signature bond with a court date. I've seem people with $80K in city warrants get released the next day without having to post bond or pay anything.
I think KC's finest just admitted if you don't mind spending a night in jail you can drive without insurance, license and ignore tickets. So why stop someone in a ratty old car for a traffic violation?
Actually you will get alot more than a night in jail for driving without insurance, license, etc. Your fines, license suspension/revocation, etc. will rack up enough. What I was saying is that parking tickets are not taken seriously by city court as this story will show. As for stopping someone in an old ratty car, you'd be surprised what that can result in.....warrants for violent crimes, narcotics, guns (many of which are stolen), etc. Parking tickets are a joke.
If you are poor enough with kids you don't need to pay any tickets. What are they going to do, throw you in jail and send the kids to foster care?
ReplyDeleteThe city that WORKS!!!! Hahahahahahaha!!!! yeah right.
