It's flash mob season and now reports of guns on the plaza create a ruckus this weekend . . .

A County Club Plaza Parking garage was blocked off late Saturday night after police spotted a man armed with a gun.

Police took three people in to custody, THANKFULLY, nobody was hurt.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A man was arrested for firing a gun in Kansas City, Mo., on Saturday night, police said.

    Investigators said the man was seen shooting the gun at 47th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

    No one was injured in the incident, police said.

    The man was arrested and was being questioned by police.

    No sense in waiting until Memorial Day weekend to instate the special summer curfew. BRING IT BACK NOW, City Council (so long as you don't think it'll interfere with your plans for the toy train).

    Meanwhile, the City Council moves forward with its plans to slash the public safety budget. With police officers leaving for other depts at a rapid rate and fire getting the axe on 105 positions, I hope the tourists in town for the All-Star game don't expect much in the way of security or quick response times. Maybe the idea of a toy train will protect them, Sly?

    1:18, nothing has been finalized on how KCFD is going to find that massive 1.4% cut in their budget. It could be done without laying off any fire fighters.
