Kyle James' drunk and disorderly incident at Fran's in P&L was the start. Then punching the girl in the face at the Point at 44/Bellview. Then bashing in a guy's face with a lamp at the Hotel Phillips. Now this. What's next?
Hopefully this changes the Mayor's outlook on homicides in the city because this very well could have been Kyle. Probably won't change anything though.

Seems like a perfectly logical time to cut public safety! 8-10 officers quit last month, 15 paramedics quitting this month. Maybe Sly-bama's toy train can double as an ambulance and we can put the suspects up in his new hotel downtown. Perhaps in a show of appreciation for their new west edge TIF high-rise, the attorneys of Polsinelli Shughart will put in a little pro bono work to help prosecute them all. Hope...Change!

Are you saying that all murderers run red lights and, therefore, red light cameras are a viable means of catching them? What if, by some strange turn of events, they didn't run that red light but, rather, waited until it turned green? Your red light camera wouldn't have taken their picture.

ReplyDeleteThe red light cameras record video of the entire intersection 24/7. That way if something happens such as an accident not involving a red light violation. When someone runs a red light it takes still photographs of the violation AND video. Sit in a 10am traffic docket at city court and you'll see that for yourself.
I'm not saying all murderers run red lights but if they had just shot someone in a populated area like Westport, its likely they were wanting to get out of the area pretty quick. Regardless as I said, if they drove through the intersection, they were on video.

Why does anyone go to Westport anymore? There's a shooting down there at least once a month. Hardly worth the risk for overpriced drinks, fat women, tattoo'ed idiots, and average food. There are enough bar districts in this cowtown to not have to slum it in an area that's quickly turning into the ghetto.
