Babies are not kidnapped from their cribs. It simply does not happen unless it's a family matter (parental kidnapping). And certainly not without leaving any evidence. The parents killed this precious baby girl (accidentily or on purpose), and now are trying to pull a Casey Anthony.

To think their missing child is being searched for by the bumbling KCPD, the same department that can't do anything about East Side crime but watch and bitch, the same department that gives Tracy Ward a political platform as she works to dismantle their automated revenue collecting red light cameras, and the same department that seems to only catch criminals like carjackers when the victim crashes her car into the main police station with the perp on top of it. At this rate the family might as well offer a prayer to St. Jude...the patron saint of lost causes. Because anyone relying on KCPD to do anything besides sit on their asses and eat Krispy Kremes all day is putting too much hope on the hopeless.
