However, one of the best stories from this year's local excuse for a baseball season is rehashed and it's STUNNING TO SEE HOW LITTLE OUR KANSAS CITY TEAM CARES FOR PLAYERS: "Royals reliever Vin Mazzaro, who gave up a team-record 14 earned runs in 2 1-3 innings on May 16 against the Indians and was sent to Triple-A Omaha moments after the final out."

This basic lack of skill for talent development is part of the ongoing failure of the team . . . That fact that you might disagree only means that it's actually the screwed up culture of Kansas City that contributes to constantly mediocre pro-sports teams.

It has happened to many teams this year, not just the Royals, as your linked story clearly points out. Are you going to claim Tony Larussa is some punk, no-nothing manager?
