DEBATING THE THREAT FROM DEADLY KANSAS CITY SUBURBAN SKATER GANGS!!!

Interesting . . . A great many white people want to minimize the same kind of violence that would have them running scared if it happened on The Plaza and involved minority youth.

What's the difference?!?

A bit of media inquiring about the nature of Kansas City Area Skater Gangs is important because it offers a lot of different perspectives on the topic. Tragically, gang members from other demographic groups around this Cowtown rarely get as much consideration.

  1. the difference between golden and ghetto ghetto murders is that outside the ghetto ghetto, murder is unusual, so by definition, 'newsworthy'.

Can't say that in the innercity. Were it not cheap to gather, it shouldn't be news at all. Which is why nobody works up a sweat over it downtown.

  3. But Radioman, what about the point of black on black murder = criminal on criminal crime? Do you honestly believe there are no innocent murdered blacks?

  4. God damn it Alonzo. Now with the season premier of south park we have to go back to this

    Alonzo loves fish sticks

In your almost intelligent commentary you neglected to mention 1 thing that really sets apart real gangs... A higharchy and a chain of command. It's obvious that in this case it is just 2 groups of kids making bad choices, not having orders passed down to the dumb and the willing by their elders. By your definition if a football and baseball team were feuding it would be considered gang violence.

Hey KCMO and kck feud over money (ie businesses) and people die in both cities maybe we can call them gangs to.

While these two dumb asses are certainly representative of the least common denominator to claim they are organized enough to warrant the gang title is giving them too much credit. And even worse is you seem to be using the actions of dumb and dumber to justify the actions of the urban youth in your ASSault on the media.

Everybody knows the media in kc sucks..... Thats why we read TKC.

  5. 9:49, you've actually nailed it. I never watch tv anymore...xcept by accident.

  6. Yeah, Spyke, I do agree...and when TV spends enough time to get to that, it's an interesting and tragic story.

Trouble is suspected motive isn't often part of these stories. They should be. For that IS the story.

IMHO, thats what MAKES it a story. Street justice isn't news, in my view. Only collateral or random murder.
