KANSAS CITY POLITICAL EXPERTS WARN THAT A RECENT CASS COUNTY RULING REGARDING AN ELECTED OFFICE HOLDER WITH A FELONY COULD IMPACT JACKSON COUNTY LEGISLATOR REV. JAMES TINDALL!!!
Thanks to local experts who are good enough to talk to TKC and help put the pieces together on the implications of a recent Missouri election ruckus. First, a few details:
The Star: "A judge has issued a temporary order removing from Herschel Young from office as Cass County presiding commissioner . . . Young, a Republican, has acknowledged a (felony) conviction, but says it is no longer on his record and that the legal challenge is politically motivated."
The important part of this equation: "Missouri law says no one convicted of a felony shall hold public office."
For better or worse, Rev. Tindall meets that qualification. Check the KMBC story: "County Legislator James Tindall has a felony conviction . . . Tindall was convicted in federal court for falsifying his 1992 income tax return. Tindall, who had at the time stepped down as a legislator, was found not guilty of taking bribes. He returned to the county Legislature in 2007."
Contacted by no less than three KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS on this one . . . All noted the same concern, one told the heretofore not-so-noticed story of Young who was sworn in and then removed in the SAME DAY. The other reminds us that there are no shortage of contenders to challenge Jackson County Legislator Tindall and the TRO makes it very likely that the ruling will be upheld.
And that doesn't bode well for Rev. Tindall
DEVELOPING . . .
These will be trying times for Jim Nunnelly and Angela Castle.
ReplyDeleteThis should not happen! Bishop Tindall is my leader, because I am a corrupt son of a bitch as well.
ReplyDeleteGee, Tony, and your OTHER buddy, Henry Rizzo was also a Felony Convict...but now that he is gone, you still have John Rizzo (who is a FUTURE Felony Convict).
ReplyDeleteJust another Jackson County Crook that "Simple Tony" only now found out about.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Tony - why post this but to show your fondness for corrupt politicos?
That was disgusting today when Burnett nominated Tindall to lead the County Legislature. Everytime I have to go up to talk with Burnett I feel like I need a shower after the meeting.
ReplyDeleteScott Burnett should resign.
How does this affect Jim Nunnely and Angel Castel, neither one is worth a tinker's dam but I'm not following how this affects them. Please explain. Also was Rizzo convicted of a felony or a misdeamenor?
ReplyDeleteafter talking to Burnett I understand your need for a shower, but did you check your wallet?
ReplyDeleteBurnett gets BIG County contracts for his own company - which does not exist on ethics reports.
ReplyDeleteTypical JACO business activity.
Tindall and Burnett must go.
ReplyDeleteHey Will you drinking again
ReplyDeleteHow about Theresa Garza thowing our tax money at her husband's new employer?
ReplyDeleteMoreno is ridding the county of the crooks starting with Tindall. Theresa Garza, Crystal Williams, Kim Carlos, Airick West are the start of a new legacy.
ReplyDeleteThe law is very clear why did Prosecutor Mike Sanders not remove Tindall like he was obligated to do?
ReplyDeleteYes, i am drinking again, and i just got out of prison, and I am gunnin' for ya JJ, politically speaking, so you better WATCH THE FUCK OUT!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGarza is gonna have serious issues fighting corruption, crooks, and cronyism if she lets her hubby live off county payroll while she is dishing it out. She still isn't as bad as the rest of them, especially Burnett, Waits, Tarwater, Arbanas, and Tindall, but she is looking more and more like another one of the gang.

Whoa!!
ReplyDeleteFelons and grifters not eligible for public office in Jackson County and KCMO? Well, at least not felons.
These standards are getting awfully high, particularly when apparently only about a dozen people are ever available to run for office and we see the same names over and over.
And just hwere ARE the prosecutors and where have they been all this time?
Did you notice that Deb Hermann had a felony as a supporter at her kick off, that being former disgraced council member Chuck Weber. She also had Ken Bacchus there who was responsible for the one million tax dollars for two little rehab houses on Tracy as she sat by as Housing Committee Chair and let it happen.
ReplyDeleteKen Bacchus was not responsible for those felons and it is a far cry from having someone who has paid their debt to society at your kick off than having convicted felons holding public office. Nice try Burke (or Rowland) camp.
ReplyDeleteFuck a bunch of felons and any idiot who would vote for them. Mexico is already run by criminals and you see how well that is working out for them.
ReplyDeleteWow, is it a crazy world or what?
ReplyDeleteAre the Peoples Republic of Jackson County required to follow the State Law or can they continue to violate every ethical standard known?
Theresa Garza already has a candidate ready to replace Tindall. She is going to control that legislature before she takes over the County Executive's office.
ReplyDeleteWay too many black people in that stock footage Tony. How utterly racist is that post, chico?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I can't remember . . . was Weber convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor?
ReplyDelete10:05 maybe he pled down to a federal misdemeanor like Henry Rizzo, after he sold out Jimmy.
ReplyDeleteNo convicted felon should ever be allowed to hold public office.
